“Our local charity for 2021 - 2022 is the Sexual Assault Centre Kingston (SACK), a not-for-profit organization who aims to create a community free from sexual violence. Their mission is to 1) provide meaningful support to individual and loved ones who are healing from sexual violence, 2) educate members of the community about the impact of sexual violence, and 3) organize and advocate for systemic and social change to put an end to sexual violence. These supports have been offered since 1978 and are currently provided in a confidential and non-judgmental manner to all survivors of sexual violence ages 12+.
